Finally, for many of us, summer is here - and so is our Destination Resort collection!
You may have already booked a vacay, close to home or far away. You’re dreaming of sun-kissed days by the water melting into balmy nights full of cocktails and dancing.
No matter your upcoming plans, Showpo is here to help you pack your bags, with a focus on effortlessly trendy styles. From bold, bright pieces to swimwear made from recycled fibres, they’ll make you feel resort ready.
Read on for 10 must-have trends from the new range and our tips for styling them.
Highlighter-bright hues have landed at the top of our trend lists for a while now. This summer especially, colour is still king, with an emphasis on natural tones with a highly saturated finish.
Exhibit A: that green. Championed by brands including Bottega Veneta and Valentino, this specific shade of jade - also known as kelly green - is calming but oh-so-cool and ultra flattering on pretty much everyone.
Other trending tones are also earth-inspired, but with a juicy-fruit twist. As well as that green bikini, don’t forget to pack a tangerine-orange shirt or light outerwear in raspberry pink.

We also love love love some colour blocking. It takes a little confidence, but stacking one block of colour on top of another is a fun and surprisingly easy way to make a statement.
Typically, this trend involves teaming opposites on the colour wheel: think pink or purple with green, or orange with blue. It can also refer to the pairing of shades within the same colour family, like blue with green or pink with orange.
The key to making it work is letting your colour clash do the talking. Especially in summer, when fuss-free style is ideal, keep the rest of your look simple with clean, sporty shapes.
How to wear it: Style the Gibson Crop Top and Knot Front Midi Skirt Two Piece Set in Lilac (pictured below at top) with green heels like the Billini - Caitlin Heels in Acid and a sand-toned sunhat, or the Aishah Scoop Neck Front Split Ribbed Midi Dress in Tangerine (pictured below at bottom) with pink heels like the Billini - Remo Heels in Fuschia.
If colour blocking feels too brash, consider its close sister, tonal dressing!
Also known as monochromatic dressing, this trend refers to layering multiple shades of the same colour. Think a pale pink with raspberry, or a camel hue with coffee or beige.
This look has even more visual impact when you start mixing not only tones but textures and fabrics. Picture hitting the waves in a recycled nylon terracotta printed bikini, tying a bright orange shirt over the top afterwards, then popping on some gold earrings for dinner. Chic!

One of the more intriguing trends to emerge this year was the "coastal grandmother" look. Chronicled extensively on TikTok, it’s all about soft linens, button-up blouses, beige bucket hats and lots and lots of white.
It’s an aesthetic we can get on board with, especially if it leans more towards crisp neutrals than granny cardigans. Anything light and easy but still chic is on our must-pack list this summer.
Sport this trend on your vacay by swapping your usual denim mini skirt or flowy maxi with a softly fitted pant in white. For a match made in monochromatic heaven, just add a black bikini.
How to wear it: Style the Chielo High Rise Fit and Flare Pant in White with the Kalama Recycled Nylon Balconette Bikini Top in Black (both pictured below) and a red lip.
Green might be the hero of the season, but don’t discount this dark-horse colour trend!
Recently sported by brands including Proenza Schouler, Max Mara and Dior, yellow is having a moment - and right on time. Whether warm in tone like a citrus fruit or pale like a stick of butter, it’ll have you feeling even more summer serotonin.
How to wear it: Style the Aishah Scoop Neck Front Split Ribbed Midi Dress in Tangerine (pictured below) with a chain belt like the Suesana Chain Belt in Gold.
Let’s move on from colours to styles, starting with swimwear.
The standout trend might just be the cut-out one piece. Also known as the monokini, it’s been snapped on countless celebs in recent times from Kim Kardashian to Dua Lipa.
We’re obsessed with our Majorca swimsuit in our glam Santa Cruz print. Made from recycled fabrics, and featuring a drawstring detail and waist cut out, it’s the perfect statement piece to lie in by the pool with a mimosa in hand.
How to wear it: Style the Majorca Recycled Nylon Cut Out Bandeau One Piece in Santa Cruz (pictured below at top) or the Majorca Recycled Nylon Cut Out One Piece in Black (pictured below at bottom) with gold hoops.
If one pieces aren’t for you, may we suggest this other swimwear classic?
In recent years we’ve seen a smorgasbord of swim trends hit the market, from multi-wear styles to sporty looks and more - but it's probably inevitable we’d end up circling back to the triangle eventually.
Simple, sexy and timeless, it’s a favourite for a reason. Slip it on in sleek black and head straight to the beach.

Onwards, from swimwear to other trends we can’t get enough of.
When we all emerged from lockdowns last year, we just wanted to go big and go glowy - especially when hitting a bar or dancefloor. But this season, shimmery, glimmery touches aren’t just for party dresses; they’re for day dresses, tops and other vacay pieces too.
Whether you’re heading out for cocktail hour or just for a beachside coffee, consider an elevated maxi or midi with refined metallic detailing, like chain shoulder straps. It’s a comfortable look, but sure to have a high(shine) impact.
How to wear it: Style the Sychie Chain Straps Relaxed Maxi Dress in Green with gold hoops and a warm red lip.
One of the defining fashion throwbacks of our era, the Y2K trend is everywhere - but also now subtly evolving.
Instead of sporting butterfly clips, crochet, baguette bags and low-rise blue jeans, this summer we’re making the trend sleeker, and our early-2000s references more abstract.
Build an easy cool-girl outfit for day-to-night occasions with retro-inspired cargo pants. Choose a pair with a lush satin finish, then pare them back with a bikini and slides.
How to wear it: Style the Kimme Ruched Satin Cargo Pants in Khaki with the Majorca Recycled Nylon Triangle String Bikini Top in Black (both pictured below).
Come now, we can’t discuss 2022 trends without talking about the sexy vibes!
As another response to being cooped up too long, we’re all reaching for stuff that’s short, sheer, with lots of cut outs and cropped way up to here. Life’s short - why not swap your usual summer tee or tank with a sexy crop top and a micro mini skirt, sheer pants or something else adventurous.
How to wear it: Style the Geneve Printed Plunge Crop Top in Blue Floral with the Majorca Recycled Nylon Reversible High Waist Bikini Brief in Jade (both pictured below).
