We’re proud to present our first-ever unisex sweats collection, The Hunger Project x Showpo. Featuring sweatpants, sweatshirts and more, this range will send 100% of profits to The Hunger Project’s fight against world hunger and poverty.
Showpo’s relationship with key charity partner The Hunger Project began four years ago, with huge sample sales. Held in the Sydney CBD, they raised donations to the tune of $96,000.
Now, in the wake of COVID-19, we’ve turned our efforts to this exciting new basics capsule collection.
Founded in 1977 and based in New York, with offices globally including in Australia, The Hunger Project believes in “a world where every woman, man and child leads a healthy, fulfilling life of self-reliance and dignity.” Their work reaches communities across the world in Africa, India, Bangladesh and Latin America.
In areas including education, microfinance, agriculture and health, their “sustainable, grassroots and women-centred” programs are designed to empower and equip people - particularly women - to end their own hunger.
"After partnering with them for four years, we’re still so proud to support The Hunger Project,” says Showpo Founder and CEO Jane Lu.
“What really resonates with me about The Hunger Project’s work is how they look at people living with hunger not as a problem to fix, but as the solution to the world hunger problem.”
“I’m particularly inspired by how they empower women in these communities through microfinance loans and small business to break the poverty cycle.”
The six styles in the collection are available in classic grey marle, black and white, and trendy apple green, with a slogan imprinted at the front - ‘Hunger For Change’. Reflective of The Hunger Project’s work, it’s a memorable finishing touch to these stylish and versatile loungewear pieces.
It also aligns with our goal to offer the range in comfortable, inclusive sizing. Designed to be unisex, it’s ready to be loved by people of all body types and genders.
To bring this vision to life, we worked not only with The Hunger Project but also an array of inspiring and influential friends of Showpo.

With its charitable vision and inclusive sizing, this range is soft on the skin and conscience.
